Summer Teaching Seminar.

Candace Katz, Springdale, AR and Debbie Johnson, Siloam Springs,
AR. Have 25 years of combine basket weaving experience. Both have taught locally
and at seminars in Missouri. They own and operate "Bases to Weave" which specializes
in wood-based products and custom basket designs. They are active members in
the Arkansas Basket Weaver Guild and participate in the War Eagle Fair. Techniques
that will be taught include some of the following: twill, French randing, 4
rod wale, cross stitch, ti twining, triple weave arrow and triple twining. A
fee of $110 covers the materials and patterns for completing 5 baskets. One
week only, beginning June 2. top

Jim
Horton, Broken Arrow, Okla., has been a full time artist since 1974 and
has exhibited at the Fall Fair since 1975. The seminar is for both beginning
and advanced students. Jim will be teaching a realistic style in step-by-step
demonstrations with individual instruction. Supply lists will be sent to students.
